In partnership with IdeaFestival® and its year-round learning division IF University, Kentucky to the World (KTW) , a multi-year series that showcases highly successful individuals with strong Kentucky connections who are not often seen or heard here, will host Catherine McCord, one of FHM’s “100 Sexiest Women in the World” and People’s “50 Most Influential Mommy Bloggers.” McCord, a Louisville native, will talk about her journey from super model to a leading online expert of child-friendly recipes, and how her time in Kentucky has impacted her career, during a day time cooking demo and book signing at Bourbon Barrel Foods’ Theatre Kitchen on March 7, 10 am, and an evening interview and book signing on March 7 at (TBD) from 6 – 8 pm.

McCord, who now resides in Los Angeles with her two children and husband, has received national media recognition for her Weelicious web site, designed to educate kids about cooking and to provide parents with healthy meal ideas. Her work has also attracted celeb mom fans like Actress Jennifer Garner and fellow Cookbook Author Ree Drummond and landed her a job as the food editor for Parenting Magazine. In addition to running the daily blog at Weelicious.com, McCord is the author of Weelicious: 140 Fast, Fresh, and Easy Recipes and Weelicious Lunches: Think Outside the Lunch Box with More Than 160 Happier Meals. In her previous life as a model, McCord graced the covers of Elle and Glamour and appeared on TV as a correspondent for “Extra” and MTV’s “Loveline” with Adam Carolla.
