Louisville's SUB-URBAN SITUATION is all about the music: Coined as “alternative R&B”, SuS mixes individual influences together to create their own unique sound that feature silky melodies, deep grooves and city-street color. Now with three albums to its credit, SuS has performed around the Midwest and East Coast for the past 6 years and shared the stage with some fine national talent, including Devon Allman and Honey Tribe, Sister Hazel, Perpetual Groove, The Phunk Junkeez, Paradime, Ana Popovic, Nappy Roots and comedian Spike Davis.
HOUNDMOUTH is collaborative folk/rock band from the lowland plains and farmlands of Indiana and Kentucky. Their poetry emphasizes foolhardiness, their soulful harmonies carry far. They've been garnering some serious attention across the tastemaker spectrum just since flipping into the New Year, fast becoming a local favorite with their laid-back rootsy-rock style, tight boy/girl harmonies and pop-updated spin on the lexicon of '60's and '70's folk-rock.
