American rock band Styx is back in Freedom Hall after the group was a part of the largest grossing concert in Kentucky State Fair history when they opened for Def Leopard in 2007. The band released four consecutive albums that have been certified Multi-Platinum. Styx is best known for their 1983 hit song “Mr. Roboto” and the No. 1 single “Babe.” Other hit singles that charted on the Billboard Top 100 include “Too Much Time on my Hands,” “The Best of Times,” “Lady,” “Come Sail Away” and “Show Me the Way.”

Foreigner, a British-American rock band that was formed in 1976, will co-headline on the second night of the Kentucky State Fair. The band first played in Freedom Hall in 1985 and was also a part of the opening act for the largest grossing concert in Kentucky State Fair history. Among the 39 singles released by the band, 14 of them became top 20 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Top hits by the band include their No. 1 song “I Want to Know What Love Is” and “Waiting for a Girl Like You.” They are one of the world’s best-selling bands of all time with worldwide sales of nearly 80 million albums, including 37.5 million albums in the United States alone.
