“City Comics”
This is the story of an adventuresome boy named Sam who receives dicey advice from an imaginary friend Rupert the Rat. Sam is encouraged to try super hero moves in order to relive the stories in his comic books. Many injuries later, he discovers that there are plenty of real life adventures in his own back yard. This puppet show is a sequel to “The Comic Book Show” which is a comic book and puppet show created in 2010. Join us for this new one-man hand puppet show from Shawn Hennessey.
Stay after the show to make a critter to take home in our puppet-making workshop.
For all ages.
First Saturdays- Puppet Show and Workshop Series
Squallis is creating a home for puppetry in Louisville at “The School of Sharks Theater”- located on the top floor of Our Mother of Sorrows School Building, near the intersection of Eastern Parkway and Preston Highway. We have puppet theater for small audiences and have opened our doors to the public with a series of Saturday performances and workshops for families. This is an opportunity to share live performance with the kids you love, watch their imaginations grow, and collaborate with them on their own puppet projects. Stick around after the show to see what you can make together with “make it and take it” puppet workshops. Shows and workshops each run 30-45 minutes. Hurray, the puppets finally have their own theater in Louisville!
