“Elephant’s Child”
From Rudyard Kipling’s Just So Stories for Little Children, The Elephant’s Child is the story of a curious little elephant who asks every so many questions. His search for answers leads him on an adventure to discover what the crocodile has for dinner. Along the way, he meets a cast of animal characters who are less than receptive to his constant wonderings. Join us for a shadow puppet interpretation of this famous story about how the elephant got its trunk.
Stay for the workshop to make your own shadow puppet.
For all ages.
First Saturdays- Puppet Show and Workshop Series
Squallis is creating a home for puppetry in Louisville at “The School of Sharks Theater”- located on the top floor of Our Mother of Sorrows School Building, near the intersection of Eastern Parkway and Preston Highway. We have puppet theater for small audiences and have opened our doors to the public with a series of Saturday performances and workshops for families. This is an opportunity to share live performance with the kids you love, watch their imaginations grow, and collaborate with them on their own puppet projects. Stick around after the show to see what you can make together with “make it and take it” puppet workshops. Shows and workshops each run 30-45 minutes. Hurray, the puppets finally have their own theater in Louisville!
