"Soulful Sounds of Derbytown" is a new concert series that celebrates Louisville’s rich Blues music tradition, while also raising funds to complete the interior construction and establish education programs for the Kentucky Center for African American Heritage.
The first show of the series is called “Women In Music,” showcasing some of Louisville’s best divas: Majorie Marshall, Robbie Bartlett, Tanita Gaines, Arti Wells, and The Pearls. Loraine Rudolph will return to Louisville to join the ladies in a climatic encore performance. The concert will also honor some of the great entertainers from the Walnut Street era—Sara Martin, Helen Humes, and Mary Ann Fisher. Enjoy Blues Music and have a great time!
