Seviche chef and owner Anthony Lamas, local farmer Brooke Eckmann of Ambrosia Farm and winemaker Logan Leet of Old 502 Winery will host a dining event at Ambrosia Farm Saturday, Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. Located at 5123 Buck Creek Rd. in Finchville, guests will be served in the beautifully refurbished tobacco barn situated on the spacious homestead. The farmer and chef barn dinner with wine pairings is $250 per person (or $225 per person without wine). Tickets must be purchased in advance via eventbrite.com; limited seating is available.
The produce and wine featured will come from Ambrosia Farm and Old 502 Winery which are both certified Kentucky Proud, a program dedicated to bringing fresh, nutritious food to consumers across the state.
“Local producers are the real catalysts behind Louisville’s culinary growth, and Kentucky Proud has helped ensure their products are reaching the public,” said Lamas. “Ambrosia Farm is growing produce that have never been planted in the area. Old 502 Winery is the state’s only urban winery using locally grown grapes. The impact they’re making on our community is impressive.”
Following the meal, guests are welcome to explore the farm and talk with the three hosts. Lamas and Eckmann will be available to discuss the menu in greater detail. Logan Leet is a member of the Governer’s Grape and Wine Council; he can share his winemaking experience and talk about Old 502 Winery’s unique selection of Kentucky Proud wines.
