Eclectic Living to Host “Salvaged Louisville” Exhibit
Artisan Craig Bayens to Feature Locally Sourced and Handcrafted Furniture
Louisville, KY, October 8, 2012 -- Eclectic Living has announced that Craig Bayens, a local furniture maker from Louisville, will be featured in an exhibit at Eclectic Living from Saturday, October 13 until Saturday, November 24. He will display furniture pieces, including dining tables, stools, benches, side tables and mirrors, which will range in price from $200 to $2,000.
Craig Bayens studied functional design at Murray State University under renowned Kentucky artist, Paul Sasso. He contributes as little as possible to the commercial lumber industry, priding himself on having not purchased lumber for the past six years. All lumber used is sourced from Louisville trees that have outgrown their urban environments or reclaimed from Louisville buildings slated for demolition. Hand crafted furniture that is 100% Louisville, 100% Recycled.
Quotes:
“I take pride in the beauty and integrity of my work. My furniture is intended to be handed down from one generation to the next, from materials with a living history.”
