Please join us for the second-annual Rose Collar Derby Soiree, Thursday, May 3rd. Proceeds benefit the Rose Collar Foundation, which seeks to combat sex trafficking globally by enabling families to achieve economic security through investing resources, sharing skills and facilitating education. 

At this year’s event at Majid’s most hospitable restaurant at 3930 Chenoweth Square, St . Matthews Area, we are honored to have Emmy-Award-winning Ruchira Gupta as our keynote speaker.  Gupta, Founder and President of Apne Aap Women Worldwide, has worked for 25 years for the rights of women and girls, advocating against sex trafficking. With the help of 22 women in prostitution, Gupta founded Apne Aap in 2002. Today the organization touches the lives of thousands of women across India. 

RCF and Apne Aap Women Worldwide are proud to announce their newly developed partnership, Multiplying the Power of 10 to End Sex Trafficking, as a commitment under the Clinton Global Initiative.  RCF is dedicated to raising funds that will go towards 10 specific women who have been rescued from the painful cycle of sex trafficking, enabling them to receive the proper healthcare, education and tools to live an independent, confident life with the support of Apne Aap.

The Rose Collar Derby Soiree will start at 7pm with an open bar that is sure to quench the thirst of any bourbon aficionado.  The delectable first course will be served at 7:30pm.  While your merry taste buds are sure to enjoy the five-course dinner, Gupta will educate our guests on the trials in the battle against human sex trafficking and the newly founded partnership developed between RCF and Apne Aap Women Worldwide. 
If you are unable to join us for dinner, please stop in at 9pm for the Rose Lounge where you can indulge in sweet treats and a vast selection of libations to truly kick start the Derby weekend - all while grooving to the funky and soulful sounds of Mojo Flo. The evening also includes a raffle with fantastic prizes up for grabs.
