2012 represents the 32nd "running" of the Rodes City Run 10K, which is also the second "leg" of the Louisville Triple Crown of Running. The exciting 10k course is Flat, Fast and Fun, and, with a field of nearly 9,000, is ranked the 14th largest 10k in the nations (according to the 2010 USATF rankings). Proceeds from the Rodes City Run 10K, and the entire Triple Crown series, is contributed to local charities. The 2011 Louisville Triple Crown of Running donated over $160,000 to the WHAS Crusade for Children on behalf of its sponsors and participants.
