The Clifton Center will host a concert by Rahim AlHaj on October 10, 2014 at 8:00pm. Iraqi oud virtuoso, composer, and two-time Grammy nominee Rahim AlHaj will perform a concert at 8pm on Friday, October 10th. AlHaj, who was forced to leave Iraq in 2000 due to his activism against the Saddam Hussein regime, is considered by many to be among the world’s greatest virtuosos of the oud, a middle-eastern stringed instrument similar to the lute. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at www.cliftoncenter.org or at Carmichael’s Bookstore, 2720 Frankfort Avenue.
