On Thursday, May 22nd at 7 PM (at our Frankfort Ave store), Carmichael's welcomes poet Richard Boada for a reading from his new collection of poems "The Error of Nostalgia." The poems in Boada's collection explore the relationships between individuals and their natural and urban environments in the American South and South America. These disparate locations serve as sites where, among other things, humans confront the perils of natural catastrophes, expatriation, urbanization, and crises of identity. Joining Boada will be Bellarmine University professor and poet Frederick Smock. Smock is the author of six collections of poetry including "The Bounteous World."
