Visit Gallery at the Brown this winter to see the new exhibit, “A Pause in the Pasture” featuring paintings from artists Helen Merrick, Jack Cochran and Kevin Oechsli. The show will open Saturday, Dec. 13 with a wine reception from 6 to 8 p.m. “A Pause in the Pasture” will run through Feb. 28, 2015. Both the reception and show are free and open to the public.

“There is no barrier to appreciating a beautiful piece of art,” says artist Jack Cochran, “whether in a tonal study, or of a painting of vibrant flowers, with portraits or landscape paintings.”

Gallery at The Brown features local artists to bring awareness to Kentucky’s growing visual arts scene. Located on the first floor of the Brown Hotel, Gallery at the Brown is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
