The Switzerland County Tourism office invites teams of catfish anglers to pre-register for the Cabela’s King Kat Tournament Trail $10,000 Super Event. The competition takes place at Paul Ogle Riverfront Park in Vevay, Indiana, on August 9 & 10, 2013. Anglers may fish the Ohio River from McAlpine Dam to Meldahl.
Cabela’s King Kat Tournament Trail is America’s Premier Catfish Trail. A team event, participants can consist of one of two persons. A third person can participate providing the individual is less than 16 years of age or over 65 years of age. A six (6) rod limit rule applies.
The entry fee is $200 per team, with members required to join the Cabela’s King Kat Association. Late entries are accepted at an additional charge. Membership information is available on the trail website at http://www.kingkatusa.com.
Registration and a complete set of rules and regulations for the event is on-line at the King Kat website, at various businesses around Switzerland County and at the Switzerland County Visitors Center located at 128 West Main Street in Vevay.
There is no admission for the public watch the weigh-in of live fish at Paul Ogle Riverfront Park beginning at 4:00 p.m. on both August 9 & 10.
