Parachute is a crowd-pleasing, road warrior pop quintet from Charlottesville, Va., that has seemingly been on tour since 2007 when lead singer and principle songwriter Will Anderson co-founded the band with Johnny Stubblefield (drums), Alex Hargrave (bass), Nate McFarland (guitars/vocals) and Kit French (keyboards/saxophone/vocals).
Parachute has appeared with Kelly Clarkson, All-American Rejects, 3 Doors Down, and Taylor Swift. Along the way, Parachute has notched a half dozen hit singles, including the group’s latest power pop paean Can’t Help - written by Anderson and OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder - plus Something To Believe In and Kiss Me Slowly, the latter of which was co-authored by Anderson with Lady Antebellum members, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood.
In 2008, Parachute’s first pair of hit songs – She Is Love and Under Control – were featured on Nivea’s national skin care TV commercials. One year later, Anderson and French appeared on Daryl Hall’s highly-regarded Internet music show, Live From Daryl’s House. Last year, the dropped its third CD Overnight, which has been its highest-charting disc, reaching No. 15 on Billboard’s Top 200 albums chart.
