The Carnegie Center is celebrating the April 15 premiere of "Ordinary People, Extraordinary Courage: Men and Women of the Underground Railroad" on KET with a special pre-broadcast viewing at Second Baptist Church on Saturday April 14 at 7:45 pm, with doors opening at 7:15 pm. A brief performance by members of the Messengers for Christ choir at 7:45 pm will be immediately followed by the premiere of the newly-edited "Ordinary People, Extraordinary Courage" film. After the screening, closing remarks will be made by Sally Newkirk, Director of the Carnegie Center for Art and History, and Reverend LeRoy Marshall, Jr., Pastor of Second Baptist Church. This event is free and open to all and marks the first time this new version of the film will be seen by the public. Please contact the Carnegie Center with any questions at 812-944-7336.
"Ordinary People, Extraordinary Courage: Men and Women of the Underground Railroad" will premiere on KET Sunday April 15, 2:00 pm ET, with rebroadcast on Tuesday April 24, 9:00 pm ET on the Kentucky Channel, and Wednesday April 25, 10:00 PM ET on KET 2.
