Enjoy refreshments and music by the Jamey Aebersold Jazz Quartet at the opening reception (free and open to the public) for "Tools of the Trade: Fiber Art by Bette Levy". Bette Levy is a Louisville fiber artist who is known for her embroidered artworks that explore the textures and patterns of the natural world. This exhibit will highlight her recent artworks that explore gender roles and tradition through conceptual crocheted pieces and paper quilts. Drop by the museum March 13-15 as Bette Levy and fellow fiber artists "crochet bomb" the Carnegie Center's urns, lamp posts, and maybe a tree or two, in preparation for the opening reception on March 16.
