The Galt House Hotel is proud to announce that James Dean Hicks, will headline the “Captain’s Dinner Show” during the Centennial Festival of Riverboats on October 15,17, and 18, 2014 at the Galt House Hotel.
Hicks will return to the area from Nashville to perform heartfelt songs and share stories. From his humble roots in Bardstown, Kentucky, he has traveled across the country on a journey of success to becoming one of America's premier songwriter/artists. He performs over 200 shows each year opening for many diverse acts, from Merle Haggard to Bryan White, from the Romantics to Keith Urban.
Guests are invited to sit back and set sail with a riverboat theme dinner show. This event includes a delicious meal and an evening filled with heartfelt songs and a special appearance from Mark Twain (Portrayed by J.R. Stuart) during dinner.
This dinner show is being held in conjunction with the Centennial Festival of Riverboats to help celebrate the 100th birthday of the Belle of Louisville. Several riverboats will provide the backdrop as Louisville plays host to a historic six-day festival of art, bourbon, music and culture at the internationally-acclaimed Waterfront Park. The Galt House Hotel is Louisville's only Waterfront hotel and the official hotel for the Centennial Festival of Riverboats.
The Captain’s Dinner Show tickets can be purchased for $49.00 inclusive of tax and gratuity. They can be purchased by calling 502-568-4260. Reservations are required and limited seating is available.
