When the clock strikes midnight this New Year, the Brown Hotel will be celebrating in style. Live entertainment, a decadent dinner created by executive chef Laurent Géroli and a champagne toast are just part of the New Year’s Eve plans at the four-diamond English Grill. After a long night of dancing, guests can relax in luxury with special overnight room packages. For more information or to make reservations, call (502) 583-1234.
On Monday, Dec. 31, the Brown Hotel starts the New Year revelry with an elegant 6-course dinner. The lavish menu begins with a cauliflower truffle soup, seared foie gras appetizer, and salad with bourbon smoked salmon followed by a blood orange sorbet, leading up to a choice of three entrées. Diners can select between filet mignon, smoked duck and pan sautéed grouper. A kiwi and kumquat cake with dark chocolate crème de cocoa ice cream will finish the meal, but not the festivities.
The cost for the dinner is $115 per person and includes live music and dancing, valet parking, party favors and a champagne toast. Tax, gratuity and additional alcohol are not included. Dinner seating is available at 8, 8:30, and 9 p.m. The English Grill’s current menu, filled with dishes highlighting the best of the winter season, will be available a la carte for early seating between 5:30 and 7 p.m.
For guests who opt for a stress-free end to the evening, the Brown Hotel is offering a special room rate of $179 for those dining in the English Grill. Club room upgrades are available for just $30.
