LOUISVILLE, KY A custom built motorcycle, made by Orange County Choppers of television’s “American Chopper,” is on display for the first time to the public at the Muhammad Ali Center. The motorcycle was built in 2005 and auctioned off at Celebrity Fight Night, an annual charity event held in Phoenix, AZ with the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute as its primary beneficiary. Bill Parsons, founder and CEO of Godaddy.com, offered the winning bid for the bike at Fight Night and gave it to Muhammad Ali and his wife Lonnie.
The Alis generously donated the bike to the Muhammad Ali Center so that visitors would be able to enjoy its beauty. The bike, a T-Rex Rigid model, is ten feet in length from tip to tail and features a Rev-Tech motor capable of producing 110 horsepower.
It is on display for FREE in the lobby of the Muhammad Ali Center at 144 N. Sixth Street in downtown Louisville. For more information, call (502) 584-9254 or visit us online at www.alicenter.org.
