Louisville, KY, April 21, 2013 – Eve Theatre Company gives a special shout out to mothers everywhere as it presents the Louisville premiere of Motherhood Out Loud at the Victor Jory Theatre at Actors Theatre of Louisville, 316 West Main Street, June 6-23, 2013.
Motherhood Out Loud entrusts the subject of motherhood, in all of its many versions, to a dazzling collection of celebrated American writers, resulting in a joyous, moving, hilarious, and altogether thrilling theatrical play. Utterly unpredictable, Motherhood Out Loud shatters traditional notions about parenthood, unveils its inherent comedy and celebrates the deeply personal truths that span and unite generations. Motherhood Out Loud reveals with illuminating insight the humor, raw emotions and rocky roads experienced in life. Conceived by Susan R. Rose and Joan Stein, and written by Leslie Ayvazian, David Cale, Jessica Goldberg, Beth Henley, Lameece Issaq, Claire LaZebnik, Lisa Loomer, Michele Lowe, Marco Pennette, Theresa Rebeck, Luanne Rice, Annie Weisman and Cheryl L. West,
Motherhood Out Loud received its triumphant World Premiere at Hartford Stage, its West Coast premiere at the Geffen Playhouse (as In Mother Words) and its New York engagement at Primary Stages.

Under the direction of Nancy Hoover, the Eve Theatre Company’s production of Motherhood
Out Loud features 20 sometimes funny and sometimes poignant scenes performed by thirteen local
actors and actresses ranging in age from 14 to 84; Su Crocker, Hazel Bartlett, Anna Francis, Glenna
Godsey, Jessica Godsey, Charlotte Hammett Hubrich, Jon Huffman, Mary Ann Johnson, Samantha
Kamen, Susan McNeese Lynch, Julie Streble, Diane Stretz-Thurmond, and Miguel Walker.
Performances are June 6, 7, 8, 9, 13, 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22, and 23. Thursday through Saturday
curtains are at 7:30 pm. Sunday matinees are at 2:30 pm. Tickets are $22 for general admission
and $19 for students, seniors and groups of ten or more.
