The Kentucky Humane Society is offering a free educational seminar on how to pick the perfect family pet on Saturday, Dec. 6. The seminar will be held at the KHS Main Campus at 241 Steedly Drive and will run from noon-1:30pm.
When you decide to add a pet to your family, there are many things to consider. Whether the new member of your family is furry, scaly, fuzzy or slimy, you will need to know several things before adding your new pet to the family.
What kind of pet is a good fit for your family? Where are you going to get the pet you choose? Can you afford the cost of ownership for that pet? Do you know how to find a good vet for the pet you choose?
Katy McClellan, Pet Help Line specialist, will provide guidance on all these issues and help you and your family make a match and choose the perfect new family member. If there is a topic you wish to be covered in the seminar, email helpline@kyhumane.org with your suggestions.
To attend the seminar, please RSVP to (502) 253-2883 or helpline@kyhumane.org with your name and the number of people planning to attend. Refreshments and freebies will be provided.
