If you have been curious about meditation and how it can help you, Meditation 360 can be your starting point. Open yourself to the possibility of healing in our caring, supportive, non-judgmental atmosphere.
Meditation can help those with chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, arthritis, anxiety and/or depression, cancer patients and survivors, or anyone looking to utilize meditation as a means to promote and support his or her own well being and enjoyment of life.
In this eight-week experiential meditation class, students will be introduced to the secular (non-religious) practice of meditation and encouraged to explore deeper levels of clarity and self-awareness through a variety of meditative practices. These will include insight meditation (Vipassana), meditative inquiry, mantra, dynamic meditation (moving meditation), and modern binaural high-tech meditation. These practices are geared towards reducing stress, anxiety, and emotional reactivity, accessing inner wisdom, supporting the immune system, and promoting optimal function of the body and mind.
Following the shared periods of practice, discussions will introduce important concepts in the context of the students’ actual experiences. This allows for a deeper understanding of the course content, a richer experience of the practices themselves, and will provide a firm foundation for sustaining a long-term meditation practice moving forward.
This class is appropriate for all levels.
Sundays, Starting May 4th through June 29th
(No class during Memorial Day weekend – May 25th)
