In conjunction with our exhibit "Painted Portraits: City/Self", Anne Allen, Professor of Fine Arts at Indiana University Southeast, will talk about the depictions of rulers and other important members of European society from the Late Renaissance until the Rococo. Her talk will consider the context of elite portraiture, the messages encoded in these works, and stylistic evolution. Bring your own lunch, drinks are provided.
