Louisville’s Got Talent, a talent competition and showcase for Louisville youth, is gearing up for a second year following last year’s triumphant debut.
Louisville’s Got Talent is for youth ages 7-18 who can sing, dance, act or play an instrument, or who have some other performing arts talent. It’s a unique opportunity for kids to showcase their performance skills, compete for cash prizes and entertain an audience in the Live Finale, which is judged by local celebrities, artistic professionals and a representative from Heyman Talent Agency.
It’s also a fundraiser, created by 13-year-old Jake Latts, for CenterStage Acting Out. CenterStage Acting Out is a non-profit, touring, children’s theatre troupe that brings live musical theatre into Louisville schools. Latts has an abiding passion for the performing arts and wants to make sure kids like him can have access to local theatre.
Registration for auditions is now open. Round 1 auditions are Sept. 7 at 3 p.m. The Live Finale is Sept. 21.
Round 1 auditions are in the JCC dance studio and the Live Finale is in JCC auditorium, 3600 Dutchmans Lane, Louisville, Ky., 40205.
