Dr. Amos Yong, Director of the Center for Missiological Research and Professor of Theology and Mission, Fuller Theological Seminary, will present "Doors to Dialogue and Mission: Openings Afforded by the Holy Spirit in a World of Many Faiths." His presentation will focus on how beliefs in the presence of a divine or “holy” spirit influence or inspire interfaith dialogue and understanding, especially with respect to missionary activity shared or common among different faith traditions.
Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary's Henry H. and Marion A. Presler Lectureship was established in 2006 to honor the lifetime missionary service of the Presler couple and to inspire the community about issues of global mission and the role of American denominations in their historical and present witness in mission.
Founded in 1853, Louisville Seminary offers an inclusive and diverse learning community, welcoming students from wide ecumenical backgrounds while maintaining its long, historic commitment to the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A). Louisville Seminary is committed to building bridges across the world's religious, racial and cultural divides. It is distinguished by its nationally-recognized marriage and family therapy and field education programs, the scholarship and church service among its faculty and a commitment to training women and men to participate in the continuing ministry of Jesus Christ.
