LFL concludes their Tenth Anniversary season with a retrospective of excerpts of all LFL's original shows in repertory with the newly-devised Becoming Mothers (working project title) which reflects company members' experiences of motherhood as well as looking at social conventions about becoming mothers. The retrospective, Looking Back, Looking Forward, will involve as many of the original actors and directors in the excerpts, as we reunite artists from various cities to celebrate our 10th Anniversary. These productions will be at the Bard's Town, 1801 Bardstown Road, May 31, June 1, 2, 7, 8, 9 at 7:30 and June 9 at 2:00.
LFL will also be offering a wide variety of Community Outreach this season; everything from theatre and acting basics to curriculum-based drama workshops to conflict resolution through drama. They will offer after schools at Wilder Elementary and Hawthorne Elementary, as well as residencies in schools, Summer Drama Camps, their Teen Theatre Institute, and continue their Faith Stories Project work in Guatemala. LFL continues on the touring rosters of the Kentucky Arts Council, the Kentucky Center for the Arts, Alternate ROOTS and the Southern Arts Federation. Many of the company members are also part of the Kentucky Arts Council's Teaching Artist Directory.
