Okolona will officially ring in the holiday season when Louisville Metro Councilwoman Madonna Flood, D-24th District, welcomes Santa Claus for Light up Okolona Friday night.

The festivities will be at 8501 Preston Highway just behind the Okolona Fire Station. Activities will begin at 5:45 p.m. with the Southern High School Concert Band performing. Santa will arrive around 6:30 p.m.

Louisville Metro Police Department, 7 Division; Okolona Fire Department; White Castle; and Golden Corral are also participating in the festivities, along with Okolona businesses.
