"He has the type of voice that can fill every crevice of a room and every fiber in your body. Its’ clear perfection can play your heart strings as easily as his fingers strum his guitar..." ~ Backseat Sandbar blog
Meet LEE MacDOUGALL in a media nutshell. Originally from the historic and famed fishing town of Grimsby, England, Lee's childhood passion to become a musician has led him from college composition studies to continuous live performance from the age of 13 on, from international full-band touring mania to solo, acoustic material garnering the support of London's LiveNation and Up All Night tastemakers. The "Englishness and storytelling songwriting influence" of the Beatles, Kinks and Rod Stewart, have combined with the influence of Nirvana and Tom Petty to propel him across the world and back, including 2011's extensive tour of the UK, North America and Europe. Finishing the year on a particularly high note, Lee toured the UK as main support act for Atlantic Records million-selling soul artist Rumer. Two and a half thousand capacity venues such as the Manchester Apollo and Glasgow Royal Concert Hall were Lee's biggest UK shows to date.
Now, Lee is set to set to begin 2012 where he left off in 2011 with a 5-week European tour of Germany and Austria, then heading straight back to the states for his 3rd US tour in a year. This is his second stop at Uncle Slayton's, once again with Justin Lewis opening the show. It has always been Lee’s deepest wish to be able to relocate permanently to America, so he is particularly excited to tour the USA once more and move that one step closer to his dream!
