During this 4-week session of weekly workshops, kids will learn the basics of hand-building with clay while creating creature sculptures. After viewing and discussing some clay hand-built pieces from the Museum's permanent collection, students will create their own clay masterpieces. Techniques learned will include scoring and slipping, coiling, slab construction and glazing. Curbside drop-off and pick-up will be available. Classes will take place over 4 Thursdays: September 29, October 6, 13 and 20 from 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. Class fees are $50 for KMAC members and $60 for non-members. Please contact Julie Yoder with any questions at (502) 589-0102 or julie@kentuckyarts.org.
