KENTUCKY OPERA KICKOFF PARTY

Kentucky Opera is celebrating the Brown-Forman 2014/15 Season with a party at the Brown Theatre on Thursday, August 7 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The free and open to the public event will feature live entertainment, backstage tours, hors d'oeuvres from Wiltshire on Market, a complimentary champagne cocktail from Korbel and giveaways every half hour. The first fifty guests will receive a jam packed swag bag courtesy of Café Press. Easy Rock and 102.3 the Max’s Lambert and Lindsey Morning Show will broadcast live from 5 - 7pm!
Those who subscribe at the event, will get free parking at the Brown Theatre garage for the entire season — a $30 value. Single tickets for the Brown Forman Kentucky Opera 2014/15 Season will be available on August 14 by calling 502.584.7777 or visiting KYOpera.org.
The Brown-Forman 2014/15 Kentucky Opera Season starts with Beethoven’s only opera, FIDELIO on September 19 & 21. The season continues with Puccini’s LA FANCIULLA DEL WEST on November 14 & 16, and will conclude with André Previn’s A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE on February 13 & 15. As a season add-on, Kentucky Opera will premiere Daron Hagen’s A Woman in Morocco in conjunction to the Festival of Faiths on May 15 & 17, 2015. Entering its 63rd season of production, Kentucky Opera was founded in 1952 and designated the State Opera of Kentucky in 1982. The mission of Kentucky Opera is to entertain and educate a broad, diverse audience by producing opera of the highest quality.
The Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency, supports Kentucky Opera with state tax dollars and federal funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.
