Clay Sculpting from Second Life is a week long clay studio program for students ages 14 through 18 that utilizes KMAC's upcoming summer exhibition titled Second Life to draw inspiration. Second Life explores nature, science, anatomy, craft, and preservation through taxidermy and students will work directly in the KMAC galleries and art studio to make three-dimensional clay studies from the objects on display. From John James Audubon's ornithological paintings to Kay Polson Grubola's assemblages of insect wings and exoskeletons, students will be challenged and inspired by the diverse animal study.
