The fun begins at 4 pm and rocks right on until 8 pm with music, food and drink that will keep spirits high and feet dancing. This year's event is a special tribute to our own Tim Krekel, his music and his legacy. It's going to be a party you won't forget and here's the line up that will ensure a good time for all:

The Vernon Club will keep the spirits flowing; the bands will keep the music going, and the proceeds will keep the front porch light glowing. It's the perfect way to have a lot of fun while keeping Kentucky Homefront alive and on the air with WFPK.

While we're having fun we'll also celebrate the legacy of the late Tim Krekel whose CD is due to be released locally very soon. We want to remember our friend whose music touched our hearts and gave us so much joy. We're also planting some seeds for the idea of a “Krekel Festival” which we hope to see become an annual event. We're inviting you, the Louisville community, to join us in visioning this event and to fill that vision not only with Tim's music but also the spirit from which he created and shared his music. His own words say it best:
