Audiences have been laughing with writer-producer-publisher-performer and "Official Songstress of The Sweet Potato Queens" KACEY JONES for decades ~ and laughing right along with them are People Magazine, USA Today, Music Connection, and Country Weekly. Her videos have aired nationally on GAC & CMT TV, and she has been a frequent guest on "A Prairie Home Companion" (NPR). Kacey was lead singer of Ethel and The Shameless Hussies, the hip-cult trio that rose above the comedy waves in the late 80's on MCA Records, and in the late 90's she recorded a LIVE comedy-and-music album for Curb Records, Men Are Some of My Favorite People.
Kacey has produced nine of her own albums to date, and in 1999 produced the # 1 album, Pearls in the Snow: The Songs of Kinky Friedman, featuring Willie Nelson, Tom Waits, Lyle Lovett, Dwight Yoakam, Delbert McClinton, Guy Clark, Marty Stuart, Asleep At The Wheel, Tompall Glaser, and other legendary artists. Her original songs can be heard in the hit cult film, Sordid Lives starring Beau Bridges, plus she produced and arranged the soundtrack for the hilarious stage play, Nipples To The Wind. Kacey currently tours nationally as a solo artist and performs often with two professional trios. She is currently on tour with her good friend and legendary Texas author-songwriter, Kinky Friedman, and is currently writing and recording songs for a new album to be released later this year.
