John Anderson's first musical influences were Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones. At 15, he discovered George Jones and Merle Haggard and the rest was history. Anderson showed up unannounced at his sister's home in Nashville, took on odd jobs during the day and played honkytonks at night. Club gigs paid off with a recording contract and the single I’ve Got a Feelin’ (Somebody's Been Stealin') that hit the Billboard Country Hot 100 chart. Anderson’s career highs include The Girl at the End of the Bar, Swingin', I'm Just an Old Chunk of Coal (But I'm Gonna be a Diamond Someday), She Sure Got Away with My Heart, Straight Tequila Night and When it Comes to You. Anderson’s body of work has been recognized with numerous Grammy and CMA award-nominations.
