This Diwali season the Indian Student Association would like to invite you to Jalsa 2012, which will be replacing our annual Diwali event on campus. This is in part to promote cross-cultural understanding among the diverse group of students and community members around the University of Louisville.
Jalsa means "Celebration", but for us it's about celebrating the unique culture of India/the Indian New Year while raising awareness about the need for cross-cultural understanding.
