The Ice House will shut down E. Washington St. on Friday, May 2 from 7 p.m. to midnight for its Oaks and Smokes Derby eve gala. Crushed Ice Events executive chef Laurence Agnew’s signature Kentucky inspired dishes and drinks will pair with cigars and live music for one of the best places to enjoy an outdoor Derby celebration away from Churchill Downs. Tickets are $125.00 per person. The cost includes food, entertainment and one cigar. Proceeds from the annual event benefit local charity, Kentucky Harvest which provides meals for the less fortunate in the Bluegrass state. The Groove Merchants, known for their dance music, will once again headline the evening’s entertainment.

In order to make room for the festivities,
E. Washington St. between Floyd St. and Brook St. will close starting Friday, May 2 at 6 a.m. until Sunday, May 4 at 2 p.m.
