Singer-songwriter Jay Goldstein has headed up several Louisville-based bands over the years, but
HONEYMOON BABIES proves to be the most versatile and talented with the merging of key members of melodic alt-pop rockers, Ultratone: Joe Scheirich (guitar and vocals), Luca Bianconcini (drums), and Jeff Cohen (bass and vocals) with Goldstein on piano, guitar and lead vocals. Ultratone released their fourth album on December 13 of last year, laying the groundwork for some exciting dual shows in the future.

Goldstein’s former band, Romeo Laureano, performed regionally and opened for national touring acts such as Eddie Money, The Neville Brothers, Dr. John and America in addition to being a featured performer on the weekly 'Live Lunch' broadcast at 91.9 WFPK, Louisville’s National Public Radio triple A station. Goldstein has a knack for great pop hooks, fueling the creation of this great new album and band. “My music always tells a mature story, and always has a marketable pop sound that seems to appeal to a wide range of people.” As a songwriter, Goldstein’s musical influences range from Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Burt Bacharach, Counting Crows, Michael McDonald, Elvis Costello, Steely Dan and various Motown artists.

A concept album set in the future, A World with No Pain takes you on a ride with songs that weave together a tale of a futuristic world, where space exploration has led to what would be a society changing discovery. Musically, this is a story as well, with thrilling ups, poignant downs and sweeping rich production that engages the listener throughout the story.
