The 2017 Halloween Parade is sure to be a hauntingly good time for all. Since 1934, this is one of the oldest Halloween parades in the country. Get in the spirit of Halloween and come dressed in your favorite costume and stroll through the Square in downtown Corydon.
Registration and line up for floats and entries will begin at 3:00 pm at the fairgrounds. If you want your entry to be judged, arrive no later that 4:30 pm. Entries can be judged in eight categories: Grand Marshal's Award, President's Award, Best Float, Best Performing Group, Best Vehicle Entry, Best Animal Entry and Best Political Entry (Democrat, Republican and school board). All entries need to be at the fairgrounds no later than 5:30 p.m..
Costume contest will be held at The Bicentennial Park, there will be eight divisions: infants to 12 months; 1- to 2-year olds; 3- to 4-year-olds; kindergarten and first grade; second and third grades; fourth and fifth grades; junior and senior high school; and adults. Judging begins at 4:00 pm. The costume contest is sponsored by the Harrison County CVB.
