Students will make their own recycled paper and learn the stab-binding technique to create a book that can be used as a poetry journal, sketchbook, scrapbook, or unique art piece! Students can then embellish their handmade paper and book with elements from nature or mixed media.

About Alicia Criswell:

Alicia Criswell earned her BFA with a concentration in painting from Saint Mary's College of Notre Dame. Before returning to school to earn her MA in Counseling Psychology: Art Therapy, Alicia worked in special education and taught art classes in after school programs and community centers. Alicia continues to teach a variety of children and adult classes, including mixed media, painting, sculpture, paper making, and book making. Alicia utilizes her knowledge of fine art and therapeutic techniques to enhance her students' creativity and artistic ability.
