The Louisville Master Chorale has announced a holiday program featuring all three parts of Handel’s magnificent oratorio, Messiah. It will include the favorite choruses and solos from parts I and II (the Christmas and Easter sections) as well as the apocalyptic part III in its entirety. Though it is not possible to encompass the entire work in a 2-hour program, Mark Walker, conductor and artistic director, has taken a discerning and satisfying approach. Sixty highly accomplished voices and 15 professional instrumentalists will enliven the remarkable acoustics of the Cathedral of the Assumption on Sunday, December 16, at 2:30 pm.
