ZaZoo’s, Grand Re-Opening, Free to the public with music by The Broken Spurs

ZaZoo’s Bar & Grill (The Zoo) located at 102 Bauer Avenue, will be hosting a Grand Re-Opening on Saturday, June 11. To celebrate, Louisville’s The Broken Spurs will be performing. Admission is FREE.

ZaZoo’s, which opened seven years ago, was on its last leg during the winter of 2010/11. Owner, Mike Burlew began the transformation a year ago, when he started construction on a new 60 ft. deck. After a non-regulation deck was built (resulting in an ongoing lawsuit) Burlew had to scrap everything and start fresh with new builders.

Since, the bar has expanded with a brand new deck/bar, upstairs bar and venue, equipped with professional sound and lighting set-up.

In Feburary, (musician, writer) Hunter Embry teamed with Burlew to create a full-fledged music venue at ZaZoo’s, calling it The New Vintage Showcase. The venue was created in hopes to provide a local, original music scene within St. Mathews.
