Shoes? Check. Carbo-load meal? Check. Water? Check. You are ready – So lace ‘em up and take on the French Lick Resort Fall 5k/10k Run & Walk Family Classic. Open to runners and walkers of all ages, abilities and experience, the proceeds of this event will benefit Kosair Children’s Hospital. Don’t be shy. It’s for a good cause. The 5k course is mostly flat and directs people up a small incline by West Baden town park and then through the resort property from the West Baden Springs Hotel to the French Lick Springs Hotel. The 10k is a bit more challenging and runs along the hills between the Pete Dye and Donald Ross Golf Courses. Each race will have a men’s and women’s category and nine age divisions. The top three male and the top three female winners in each age division will receive medals. The overall male and female first, second and third place winners receive an overnight stay at French Lick Springs Hotel, plus the following prizes:

First Place winners receive $50 and dinner for two at 1875: The Steakhouse.
Second Place winners receive $40 and dinner for two at Hagen’s Club House Restaurant.
Third Place winners receive $30 and dinner for two at The Power Plant Bar and Grill.
