The Flea Off Market is the latest addition to Louisville’s growing buy local movement.
It is designed to provide an opportunity to those who may have marketable items but no budget for shop space to vend alongside local independent businesses. It also offers the members of our Louisville community an opportunity to come together, mix and mingle, buy, sell, and trade – all in a unique and festive atmosphere with local cuisine and beverages, live music, and entertainments for the whole family.
The Flea Off Market will feature the Local Food Fair this month. Rye, Izzies Grilled Pizzas, Holy Mole, and Black Rock Grill are some of the food vendors who will be serving up toothsome delights. Hopes are to have a growing local food fair every month with an emphasis on farm fresh ingredients.
As usual the July market will feature dozens of vendors and collectors offering a wide range of goods and wares for “re-purpose” including: books, records, bicycles, antiques, vintage motor items, cool old junk, used tools, and other curiosities. There will also be plants, soaps, local fine arts and crafts ,farm-fresh goods, live music, performing arts, and more.
Music will be provided by Your Local Record Show D.J.'s, Trappers Keepers and other live musical acts.
The Flea Off Market, "The People's Flea," is an initiative coordinated by Courtenay L. Kunnecke and Nathan Erickson
