Chuck Parrish, retired historian for the U.S.Army Corps of Engineers and chair of the 2011 Steamboat Bicentennial Committee, talks about the arrival of the first steamboat, the New Orleans, as it ushered in a new era and changed life on the Ohio forever. Dessert and coffee are served at 1:00 p.m.with the lecture immediately following at 1:15 p.m. Admission is $5, $3 Friends of Locust Grove. Reservations are not required.
