As part of the First Friday Trolley Hop on Main Street, Baron's Theater and Smerlin Entertainment bring in a a variety show that includes magic, music and comedy, an incomparable cocktail bar, and an exhibit of local art.
The magician, Big Daddy Cool, comes to us from Nashville Tennessee. “Big Daddy Cool” Johnny Dellarocca is a larger-than-life, over-the-top ex-gangster turned entertainer who fuses smokin’ swing music, amazing magic & illusion and authentic swing dance! He is a 3 Time Champion of Magic, 2 Time Entertainer of the Year, 2 Time Variety Artist of the Year.
The comedian, Adam White, is well known here in Louisville. You've seen him around the country, and he hosts Comedy Underground right here in Louisville.
The singer, Miss Kitty Taylor, comes to us from Louisville's own Va Va Vixens. Miss Kitty has been making a big mark on the Louisville entertainment scene with her vibrant way of performing the classic vaudeville and cabaret songs.
The shows on Friday, April 6th are a part of the entire Whiskey Row Lofts First Friday experience. This isn't just a show, it's a destination.
The Troll Pub will be serving bourbon and wine flights with tasty bites.
Get a glimpse into what's going on at Kentucky School of Art! The Gallery at Whiskey Row Lofts will exhibit recent work by students at Kentucky School of Art at Spalding University. The scope of the work will include Mixed Media, Drawings, Digital Photographs, Installations, and Large-Scale Sculptures. Kentucky School of Art at Spalding University, now in its second year, opens the door to a creative and productive life through higher education in the visual arts.
During the event, students will sketch from a live model - feel free to grab an easel and join in!
The First Friday shows are at Baron's Theater @ Whiskey Row Lofts, 131 West Main Street, across from the Yum! Center. The shows begin at 7:30pm, 8:15pm and 9:00pm.
Cocktails and Art Showing run from 5:30pm to 10:00pm.
