Join the Filson Historical Society for a two-part bus trip to Brown County Art Colony in Columbus, Indiana! In Brown County, participants will have the opportunity to explore the Brown County Art Colony in Nashville, Ind. Attracted by the splendid scenery, artist Theodore Clement (T.C.) Steele, is credited with solidifying Brown County's status as an Art Colony. Today more than 250 artists call Brown County home, continuing the tradition and vision established by the numerous artists who came before them. In Columbus, participants will take part in a guided architecture bus tour and view the architecture that made Columbus famous, including many of the 70 world-renowned buildings and public art installations.
The cost is $60 for Filson members and $70 for non-members, which includes all tour fees and lunch in Columbus. The bus will depart from and return to the Filson Historical Society. There is limited capacity and reservations are required.
