Kal Penn is best known for his role in the Harold & Kumar movie series (he's Kumar), but Penn — whose real name is Kalpen Suresh Modi — is also active in politics and government. He worked until July for President Obama as Associate Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement. This fall, he's back in Hollywood, appearing in "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS and preparing for the release of the movie "A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas." At Bellarmine University, he will reflect on his experiences in Hollywood and Washington, and talk about reasons it's important to be engaged in civic matters.
