Photographers and all fans of nature – join us for this talk by the engaging, nationally-known photographer Allen Rokach. Photo shoots have taken him around the world, he has been the Director of Photography at the New York Botanical Garden and he spent ten years as a Senior Photographer for Southern Living magazine. He also founded the Center for Nature Photography. This free lecture (donations accepted and benefit Bernheim) takes place in Louisville the evening before his two-day workshop at Bernheim. Learn more about the workshop at www.bernheim.org and register by calling (502) 955-8512. The lecture is open to the public; while you do not need to register, arrive early as space is limited.
Bernheim is pleased to be participating in the Louisville Photo Biennial. The biennial takes place throughout the city during the month of October. Embracing local, national and international photography, workshops, symposia, public discussions and more than 30 exhibitions city-wide, the Photo Biennial will celebrate artistic excellence in this rich and diverse medium. The Photo Biennial represents a cooperative effort among local museums, galleries, universities and other public venues to give viewers the opportunity to learn about and to appreciate photography, spanning its history to the present, and from the local to the global. A full calendar of Biennial events can be found at http://paulpalettigallery.com.
