Come score a home run at the Dr. Ed Morgan Grand Slam 4 Miler Run/Walk 2011!

The race takes place at Louisville Slugger Field on Saturday, July 23 at 8:00 a.m. Participants will start on “home plate” at Slugger Field, round the “bases” (miles 1, 2, and 3) and race for “home plate” back at Slugger Field.

For early registration, participants must pay $20 by Wednesday, July 20 at 11:59 p.m. If this registration date is missed, participants can still late-register for $25. Late registration is available from Thursday, July 21 to Friday, July 22nd at Fleet Feet Sports (1500 Bardstown Rd. 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.).

Registrants will receive a Grand Slam 4 Mile race t-shirt (only pre-registered by Monday, July 18th will be guaranteed a shirt on race day) and one ticket to the Bats game against the Charlotte Knights at 6:05 p.m. that evening. Runners may purchase additional tickets for just $3.00.

Pre-Race Packet pickup for early and late registrants will be available on Friday, July 22 at Fleet Feet Sports, 1500 Bardstown Rd. from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.

If interested in registering on the day of the race, you may late-register and receive a pre-race packet from 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. at the rear of Louisville Slugger Field.

Awards will be given after the race comes to an end. The “overall male and female” will each receive a Louisville Slugger baseball bat and will throw out the first pitch at the game that night. The top three finishers will receive a commemorative Hillerich and Bradsby Louisville Slugger Souvenir Baseball Bat (Top three in each age group 9 and under, 10-14,15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-49, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 and over).

Every runner/walker will receive one complimentary General Admission ticket to the race-night game as the Bats take on the Charlotte Knights at 6:05 p.m.
